Kinsley Hagans

Intended Major: Psychology

 
 During her high school career, Hagans was a member of AISES, HOSA, NASA, S.A.V.E (Students Against Violence Everywhere), school chorus, student government, and Science Tots. In her spare time, Hagans volunteered with Adopt a Highway, American Red Cross, the Special Olympics, and the Hurricane Matthew Shelter in her hometown.  After completing her undergraduate coursework, Hagans plans to continue her education by attending medical school to become a dermatologist. Her ultimate goal is to become the first Native American dermatologist in Robeson County.
 
 
Members of the scholarship committee and other sisters attended a dinner for Kinsley on Sunday September 10th in Greenville, North Carolina. Kinsley was presented with a cashier’s check in the amount of $500 that she can use towards her college expenses. Congratulations to Kinsley Hagans for receiving the 2017-2018 ROSE Scholarship. The scholarship committee is looking to increase the award amount for the upcoming school years. Be on the lookout for information concerning next year’s scholarship.

Intended Major: Engineering

Ms. Thomas was on the Varsity Softball Team and Cheerleading Squad. During her educational career at NCSSM, she was a member of the Geek Squad Competitive Math Team, the Multicultural Advisory Board, and an Akwe:Kon Native American Culture Club Executive Officer.
